TYPES OF MEALS:

1.      Bed tea or coffee
2.      Breakfast ( Petite dejeuner)
3.      Brunch
4.      Lunch ( dejeuner)
5.      Afternoon tea
6.      High tea
7.      Dinner
8.      Supper
9.      Midnight snacks

1.      Bed tea or coffee:
a.      Usually served early in the morning by or before 06:30 a.m.
b.      Service offered from Room Service
c.       Accompanied with cookies
2.      Breakfast ( Petite dejeuner):
a.      Usually eaten within an hour or so after a person wakes up in morning
b.      This is the first meal of the day
c.       It means breaking a fast after a long time, i.e. , after a night’s sleep
d.      Served between 07:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
3.      Brunch (after Breakfast before Lunch) :
a.      A late morning meal between breakfast and lunch can be termed as replacement for both meals
b.      Served between 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon
4.      Lunch (dejeuner):
a.      A mid day meal
b.      Served between 12:00 noon – 03:00 p.m.
c.       Heavy meal of the day
5.      High tea:
a.      Served between 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
b.      Service of substantial snacks and tea or coffee
c.       Lighter than dinner
6.      Dinner:
a.      Lighter than lunch
b.      Served between 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
c.       Several styles of cuisines
7.      Supper:
a.      Late evening meal; lighter than dinner
b.      Served between 12:00 to 1:00 a.m.
c.       Snacks and other beverages are served
8.      Mid night snacks:
a.      Service is done throughout night for late or mid night comers
b.      Food offered comprises of ‘Ready to eat or Easy to cook’ items like sandwiches, omelets’, pizza’s, etc.
